A good customer brought in his TAG watch which he received as a present. It was very nice gift and it was very thoughtful of the person to have it engraved. The problem is that the person who did the engraving, did not pay attention to the detail of which end is up. So, the initials were upside down to the wearer.
Instead of sanding out the engraving, I used the laser welder to melt and to “push” the steel back into the grooves.
Then it took very little sanding to refinish the buckle strap. All it took from there was to re-engrave the info right side up.
