Not all jewelry is fun.
Sometimes it is hard.
And sometimes it is just perfect.
A special high school girl in our lives had to face the tragedy of her mother passing away. Out of sad times, light can heal. We took a drawing her mother gave to her “sunshine” daughter and carved a wax model for a pendant urn to hold some of the ashes of her mom. The main section of the urn was cast in sterling silver and the face was cast in yellow gold. We placed some of the ashes of her mother in the urn before soldering the gold lid on. This is one of the most special pieces of jewelry that I have ever made.
